I help organisations become future-fit. #Mindcandy scenario prompts are designed to stretch your imagination, sharpen situational awareness, and spark opportunity thinking. Find out more here.
Today’s scenario prompt: augmented intelligence
AI is now helping you with strategy, sense-making and imagining the future. Neural interfaces like Neuralink are starting to literally plug human brains into the machine.
You need to think about the future of thinking itself. Not “humanity versus technology”, but natural intelligence and artificial intelligence working as a stacked system of cognition:
- Natural: emerges from biology (brains, evolution, lived experience).
- Artificial: emerges from code, data, algorithms and hardware.
This is existential for leadership: who (or what) will be doing most of the thinking in your organisation in 5–10 years — and who is designing that system?
The CEO question
How will you deliberately design augmented thinking — humans + AI + interfaces — as a core leadership capability in your organisation over the next 3–5 years?
MindCandy Club
MindCandy Club is a no-bullsh*t future-fitness system for CEOs, giving you curated signals, sharp tools and a thinking partner so you stay ahead of disruption instead of being blindsided by it – DM me “MC” if you want in. Limited. First come, first service.

Neuralink’s first patient could receive an upgrade: Elon Musk
Noland might be the first to receive a Neuralink upgrade and/or dual Neuralink implant to further augment his abilities. It won’t be long before a Neuralink recipient can beat most and eventually all humans at fast reaction video games.
