This spring, Bernd Mintjes and I started a 100-day service. The reason was that we saw many good companies that missed the ability to execute and, as a result, were not reaching their full potential. In short, the idea is a 10; the execution is a 6 (or less).
The process
We selected 6 entrepreneurs and started coaching them. Starting with defining specifically what we wanted to achieve in 100 days. Followed by a plan of how we were going to get there. Each week we would have an individual call, where we would discuss progress (or lack of progress) and adjust direction when needed.
The results
We nearly reached the end of the first batch of entrepreneurs. Some result:
- One entrepreneur stopped. The rhythm was too much.
- One entrepreneur increased traffic and has more focus but still, the results are not at the level they should and could be.
- Two entrepreneurs will reach their target and have direction and rhythm.
- Two entrepreneurs will exceed their target and are accelerating.
The conclusion is that 2/3 have more success than before and are more efficient in using time and energy.
The learning
The reasons:
- Definition of achievable targets.
- A boring and very clear plan.
- Each week an accountability call (with two (grumpy) old men).
Rhythm is hard. Entrepreneurship is about consistency. Doing the same thing over and over and doing it well. With the aim of building predictability into the business.
January
In January, we are starting with the next batch of entrepreneurs in our 100-day programme.
This is not a group programme. The coaching is per company. We will start with an intake to assess and strategise, to determine and agree on the focus and target of the 100 days plan. The 100-day programme is then geared to reach those targets. Every week you have half an hour of review, feedback and coaching. In effect, you get an advisory board consisting of Bernd and myself for 3 months.
The investment is 3K.
We have three places left. Contact us for an intake.
