You can’t predict the future. You can build the fitness to respond to it. #MindCandy is fuel for strategic conversation about what’s next. Send this to the most curious person in your organisation — or start the conversation.
Sovereignty as part of your architecture
Sovereignty used to sound like a government word. Now it is becoming an enterprise architecture issue.
The first signal is sovereign file architecture: storage and collaboration designed around data residency, jurisdiction, access control and legal exposure. Not just “where is the file?” but “who can touch it, govern it, move it, train on it, subpoena it, or switch it off?”
The second signal is energy. AI is not weightless. It is chips, cooling, data centres, grids, nuclear capacity, permits, water, power contracts and national infrastructure. The countries and companies with control over energy will have more control over AI.
That changes the sovereignty conversation. It is no longer just data sovereignty. It is compute sovereignty. Energy sovereignty. Model sovereignty. Platform sovereignty. Decision sovereignty.

The leadership question
Do you know which parts of your organisation you genuinely control, and which parts are rented from someone else’s infrastructure, jurisdiction, grid or business model?
The future fitness move
Run a sovereignty audit. Map your critical files, data flows, AI tools, cloud dependencies, model providers, energy exposure, backup options, exit paths and legal jurisdictions. Then ask: if access changed tomorrow, what stops working?

Rewiring retail in Europe: The AI imperative
Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a future trend in retail. The technology is already reshaping the entire retail value chain, from making it easier for consumers to discover and buy products to improving how retailers make decisions and speeding up how goods move from warehouses to home

Don’t Let AI Slop Muck Up Your Company’s Processes
Generative AI’s gifts come with a hidden danger: decay in the accuracy and quality of organizational knowledge. This decay is the organization-level version of the “workslop” problem. When workslop occurs in sequence across a business’s processes, those processes themselves—and their outputs—start to deteriorate, errors compound and pile up, trust erodes, and the productivity gains of AI disappear.

Researchers build brain-like memory device for AI sensors that may improve energy efficiency — phototransistor device combines light sensing, memory, and processing to cut data movement
Researchers have developed a light-sensitive digital memory device that combines sensing, memory, and signal processing inside a single phototransistor, potentially reducing the energy cost of future AI hardware
Unlocking The New Industrial Revolution
AI is an intelligence revolution. It is projected to achieve human-level intelligence and then surpass it. It should have the potential to significantly raise the standard of living, as past revolutions did. But there’s a problem: this intelligence is trapped.

Elevating the customer experience: IKEA’s agentic AI journey
The Swedish home-furnishing giant’s chief digital officer discusses the need to prioritize AI initiatives amid ‘the risk of doing everything but maybe nothing.’
The Age Of Tokenomics: Why Enterprise AI Success Depends On An AI Data Platform
Many organizations have invested heavily in AI infrastructure. They have deployed GPU clusters, adopted foundation models, and launched generative AI pilots. Yet moving from proof-of-concept to production remains difficult. The reason is simple: AI is fundamentally a data problem.
