A tool for an optimistic 2025

I don’t need to tell you that being a leader is challenging. Navigating complexity, setting a clear direction, and crafting a narrative that resonates with diverse stakeholders. The world around us is unpredictable and almost unreadable. Sense making is hard.

Cheerful

But as we wrap up this eventful year—yes, even chaotic at times—I want to share something that has kept me grounded and optimistic. While I consider myself a positive person, I sometimes despair. What lifts my spirits without fail, however, is curating my daily mind candies. These are the fascinating tidbits and insights I collect and share, sparking inspiration for myself and my clients. They cheer me up no end.

Science fact

We arre living in an extraordinary time—a constant Cambrian explosion of ideas and innovation. The boundaries of possibility are shifting before our eyes. What once seemed like science fiction is becoming reality: AI, space exploration, human augmentation, nanotechnology, genetics, biology, material science, health innovations—the list goes on. These aren’t distant dreams; they’re happening now.

My Xmas gift

Before we all close for the holiday season (I am going to Holland to meet my family and friends and drink a lot), I’d like to share a gift that has brought me joy: my go-to information sources. They’re filled with the weird, wonderful, and awe-inspiring developments shaping our world:

These sources are free and will deliver daily alerts filled with inspiration and insight. Set the notifications for your morning (say, 8:00 AM), and simply scan the headlines. It takes five minutes a day, but the impact is profound.

An optimistic 2025

Do this for a month, and you’ll feel the difference. You’ll become more aware of the incredible opportunities around us, more optimistic about the future, and more strategic in your thinking. Here’s to a world full of possibilities—and to starting the new year with a fresh perspective.

Happy holidays! 🎄✨
