Digital transformation can make organisations more fragile
The enterprises that survive to 2035 will not necessarily be the most digital, automated or AI-driven. They will be the ones able to sense change, interpret it and respond quickly. That is not what many transformation programmes have created. Years of adding platforms, systems, data layers and automation have left organisations architecturally fragmented. Every new tool promises agility, while the overall organisation becomes harder to change.
