The picture sums up the summer for me. It was hot. Not only was it hot in Spain, it has been hot everywhere. And it is going to stay hot (metaphorically). The environment we are all operating in, seems to be on fire.
Situational awareness is the foundation of survival
All the more reason to become more situationally aware. I wrote a blog about it. What can you learn form herds, predators and special forces and why it is it important. My claim is that building your future fitness will make your company worth more. You will be surprised how simple it is. You stay future-fit by boosting your situational awareness (creating a simple information dashboard), you apply the strategic filters, you use specific scenario prompts, and you close the narrative & valuation gap. I wrote about that too. If you are simply focusing on surviving and firefighting, this is not for. Anyone else, drop me a line.
Skillnet conference
I am happy to announce that I will be speaking at the Skillnet Ireland conference on the 15th of October. The topic is future fitness. The trends, the tips and the tools. Looking forward to it immensely. Expecting lots of familiar faces.

What has been staring me in the face and only clicked after some olive oil before bed (great for sleeping and dreaming), that my books about books are ready-made sessions on topics such as AI, leadership, innovation, strategy, climate change, sense-making, etc. A McKinsey in 4 hours. Two books
- “AI 2041: Ten Visions for Our Future” is a very interesting book. A combination of 10 stories (science fiction), followed by an interpretation. Using 2041 as the lens. If you study AI, you will find that we be there a lot faster then 2041.
- “Signs: The secret language of the universe” is a book about being in touch with other dimensions. I think it is extremely relevant as it is part of access to natural intelligence. And you need to upgrade your natural intelligence to keep up with (and beat) AI.
